GRF to launch its 50^th year celebrations on Aug 25

The Gerry Roxas Foundation family will gather on August 25, 2008 at the Mandarin Oriental Suites, Gateway Mall at 10:30 o’clock in the morning, for the launch of GRF’s 50^th Anniversary celebrations. The event coincides with the birthdate of its founder, the late Sen. Gerry Roxas. The Foundation has been implementing programs in the areas of youth leadership, participatory governance and development finance since 1958, and has projects in selected provinces all over the Philippines.

This launch event, which is spearheaded by a core group of GR Leadership Awardees-Professional Group, will commence with a program which will feature the life of the late Senator Gerry Roxas, the beginnings of the Foundation, and its current operations. A press conference will then follow, the panel of resource persons for which will include Mrs. Judy A. Roxas. The event will culminate with a mass to be concelebrated by bishops who are also GR Leadership Awardees.

Attending the event are recipients of the Gerry Roxas Leadership Award and Scholarship Grant, partners in the implementation and beneficiaries of the Participatory Governance and Development Finance Programs of the Foundation, as well as its staff members from Manila, Davao and Capiz.
