Access to Quality Health Services
The innovations in health planning and resource allocation which were successfully implemented in Capiz through the “Partnerships for Health Planning: Strengthening Local Capacity for Health Equity Reform (HER) in the Philippines “ were presented in international conferences in Canada and Australia.
As the Service Implementation Organization (SIO) for the LEAD for Health Project in Capiz, the GRF provided technical assistance to the LGUs, health service providers, partners and advocates to improve health outcomes by enhancing the local health system, strengthening policy, governance and financing and strengthening services management.
Currently, the GRF is involved in the Health Governance Project of USAID in partnership with the Research Triangle Institute (RTI) which is aimed at strengthening LGU provision and management of health services. As Technical Assistance Provider (TAP), GRF will design and facilitate capacity building programs that will improve (1) key management systems to sustain service delivery, (2) financing key priority programs and (3) performance of service providers.
