GRF Involvement in Design and Implementation of Local Health Initiatives

The Foundation played a major role in the design and implementation of local health programs and activities such as the Capiz Integrated Health Services Development Program, Convergence Approach of the Health Sector Reform Program, Matching Grant Program, Development of the Capiz Health Investment Plan, Medicare sa Masa Program, the Health Passport, the Bisita Familia: Health Information System, the Health Equity Reform Project, Advocacy for Reproductive Health, the Rehabilitation and Improvement of the Roxas Memorial General Hospital, the mobilization of Private Sector Health Volunteers, the Public Service Excellence Program and the organization of the Capiz Integrated Health Services Council, among others.

GRF organized the Capiz Council for Integrated Health Service Delivery System that  coordinates all health services in the province such as Inter- Local Health Zones, Referral System, Social Health Insurance ( Health Passport-Medicare Para Sa Masa), Hospital Reforms, Drug Procurement and Management, Local Government Unit Performance Program (LPP- A program on Family Planning), Reproductive Health Advocacy, Community-based Health Information System (“Bisita Pamilya”), training of Barangay Health Workers (BHWs), among others. This program has become a model for replication nationwide by the Department of Health.
