Where there is Community Justice, there is Community Peace

GOAL

The goal of the BJPP is to promote community peace in unserved ARMM and non-ARMM communities by training and mobilizing community volunteers as Barangay Justice Advocates (BJAs), to help resolve community conflicts. These peace-building initiatives are envisioned to strengthen the KP system and be sustained with budgetary support from LGUs.

OBJECTIVES

 To reduce number of violent conflicts in target areas
 To improve the capacities of LGUs in integrating alternative dispute mechanisms in local level planning and budgeting processes
 To build capacities of Barangay Justice Advocates (BJAs) and local resource partners in alternative dispute resolution
 To develop a constituency of peace in conflict-affected areas through community-based peace education

1. Building capacities of LRPs, LGUs and BJAs in community justice service delivery

2. Replication of BJSS Model in 600 barangays

3. Technical assistance to LGUs in integrating BJP in local budgeting and planning

4. Promotion of communication strategies to support peace-building initiatives

5. GRF Institutional Development
