The Gerry Roxas Foundation (GRF) strongly believes that building responsibility and developing a real sense of stewardship is best introduced to the youth, when their potentials can be motivated and directed.  Senator Gerry Roxas’ vision of motivating and developing the youth’s potential in leadership and service lives on through the GRF Youth Leadership Program. 

The Program has three major components:  The Gerry Roxas Leadership Award (GRLA), Gerry Roxas Scholarship Grant (GRSG) and, in partnership with the Philippine Jaycees, the search for The Outstanding Young Men (TOYM) of the Philippines.

History

The GRF Youth Leadership Program began in 1958, when Senator Gerry Roxas established the Roxas Educational Advancement Committee.  This was expanded with the launching of the Gerry Roxas Leadership Award in 1967, which pioneered the recognition of emerging youth leadership in the Philippines.  The following school-year, the GRLA was extended to all government-recognized private schools as well. 

Every year since then, the GRF Youth Leadership Program recognizes the achievements of outstanding graduating high school student leaders from all over the country through the Gerry Roxas Leadership Award (GRLA), and the opportunity of a Gerry Roxas Scholarship Grant (GRSG).
